- Silver prices have been reduced to $ 1.35 / gram (over 150 gms: $ 1.25) with prices changing on gold-filled, nickel silver, red brass and copper as well.
- Silver disk prices have been changed to be priced by weight rather than by the piece. With the fall in silver prices there are substantial savings to be made.

BC Provincial Sales Tax arrives April
1st - Designers and re-sellers - are you ready? - the Harmonized Sales Tax ends March 31st and is replaced by the "new" BC Provincial Sales Tax April 1st. - the PST applies to most goods sold in BC and we are required to collect it starting April 1st. The PST does not apply to goods sold outside BC (mail order and out of province shows) - if you are in business you will need to register for a new PST number. Without either your tax number or certificate we are required to charge the PST starting April 1st. - if you have not already received a notice from the provincial government here are 3 ways to register: Online: go to ETaxBC In person: go to your nearest Service BC Centre (find your nearest location at servicebc.gov.bc.ca) By Mail or fax: complete the Application for Registration (see gov.bc.ca/pst and follow the Forms and Publications tab). You can also get this form at your nearest Service BC Centre or call 1-877-388-4440 to request one. Your new PST number will be assigned once your registration application is processed. Registering online is the quickest way to get your new PST number. (Important note: this is a new PST number and the six digit numbers in use before 1 July 2010 when the HST came in are no longer valid) |
